Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA) at 4Cs

Our Commitment to You and our Community

4Cs is a vibrant, diverse community that reflects the regions we serve and welcomes all. At our foundation, we believe in celebrating the diversity of our students, faculty, and staff and championing the values of equity, inclusion, and belonging for every member of our community.

From the classroom – be it virtual or on our campus – to life outside of College, it is our mission to make sure that the powerful futures that start at 4Cs reflect all backgrounds.

Diversity at 4Cs

Cape Cod Community College’s student, faculty, and staff, like the communities we serve on the Cape and Islands and across the region, are extremely diverse and growing every year.

Equity and Access at 4Cs

A college education, with pathways to brighter futures for you and your family, must be accessible for every person that comes through our doors. Our promise is to never stop fighting for equity in learning, making sure those doors stay wide open for you.

Free Community College for Adult Learners – Thanks to the MassReconnect program, community college in Massachusetts can be free for residents over the age of 25 with no previous degree. This includes tuition, fees, and stipends for books and learning supplies.

Flexible Classes That Work Around You – When we say that we have flexible classrooms to work around your personal and work life, we 100% mean it. 4Cs leads the way in unique class options for you to choose from including 7-week Quick Term semesters that start in September, October, January and March, our one-of-a-kind “HyFlex” classes that allow you to choose on a day-to-day basis if you attend in-person or online, and a constantly growing number of online classes and fully online programs.

Dedicated Support Services – We have dedicated programs on campus to help you succeed, especially if going to college is a new experience for you and your family.

Inclusion and Belonging at 4Cs

We have clubs that include:

  • Afro-Caribbean Connection
  • ALANA
  • Pride Alliance

We also have ongoing events and campus experiences for you to raise your voice and be seen and heard:

  • Black History Month Celebration

  • AAPI Awareness
  • BIPOC Women’s Month
  • Higgins Art Gallery Displays and Demonstrations
  • Regular plays and presentations done by the 4Cs Theater Club in the Tilden Arts Center
